Legends Ladies Golf Association
The Legends Ladies Golf Association (LLGA) is the organized group of women golfers (18 holers) of the Vanderbilt Legends Club. The ladies have play days on Tuesdays at 8:30 am during the golf season which starts in April and ends in October. All women of the club may join provided they have an established handicap index of 36 or less.
Our goal has always been to have fun! From the very start, we have always done it “our way” which sets us apart from other ladies groups. We have structure, yet we’re informal. We’re competitive yet our focus is on being welcoming. Our purpose has always been to encourage each other and to cultivate lasting friendships. We feel privileged to do this in the context of playing the game we love on two gorgeous courses that are challenging for any level of player. We help one and other both on and off the course and this is one of our greatest strengths.
On most regular play days during our golf season, the LLGA ladies play a simple game. We do however also have some other organized fun events. These include playing with the Vanderbilt Women’s Golf team, playing with the men’s “Gold Group”, a two day eclectic tournament, a “Rally for the Cure” day, and our annual Member Guest tournament. Once the golf season ends, many of our ladies participate in a Tuesday morning bowling league. In December we have a cookie day, and a day spent filling stockings for the Salvation Army. Our LLGA group is busy and does like to have fun year round!
We strive to continue to grow as a women’s golf association and we love new members! Please contact the President of LLGA (currently Janice Sauter) if you are interested in joining us!
